Here are some pictures from last Friday's afternoon stroll. I definitely had fun editing these pictures over the last few days. They were shot in RAW and were around 25MB each. I have never edited anything with such detail and color rendition before! Shooting in RAW on such an awesome camera was definitely an experience. I edited these pictures in Adobe Camera Raw 5.4 as well as Adobe Photoshop CS4 and then saved them all as JPEG's which were considerable smaller files (roughly 3MB each).

*If you wanna see how much detail these pictures have, click on them for the full size version.

**It seems like there's a width limit for the pictures so some of the pictures are being cut off. Just view them in full res and it should automatically resize in another window.

My good friend Jackson recently got a Canon 5D Mark II which is a professional-grade dSLR with HD video recording capabilities. He's been a bit busy recently, but we decided to go to the Claremont Colleges and play around with it. We were under this giant tree for awhile because of these taunting squirrels! Anyways his camera is nothing I've ever seen before. It's a full-frame 21.1MP dSLR which means it's image sensor is the size of old 35mm film cameras. In laymons terms this translates to a camera that has ridiculously good low-light performance and a really good dynamic range that produces very high quality pictures at very large sizes.

Here are some pictures I took documenting our afternoon adventure. I shot 85% of the pictures in RAW as I'm slowly adapting to post-processing.
